How to Hashtag Properly by Danny Chung

Facebook integrated #Hashtags but people are not using them correctly. It annoys the crap out of me for seeing hashtags used wrongly. Let me explain, how to hashtag properly 101:

WRONG: 

#Let'sParty or #Lets.Party (hashtags do no pick up any punctuation)
#Lets#Party (hashtags do no pick up ANY and I mean ANY punctuation so space out your # sign after every hashtag if you would like to have them separate)
#Lets Party (hashtags do no pick up any spaces)

**And please don't hashtag a whole sentence separately, it just looks stupid:
eg. #Let #us #party #tonight #like #never #before. or #This #is #a#cool #party!

CORRECT:

#Letsparty 
#LetsParty (I prefer to keep my every first letter of a word in the uppercase to avoid potential confusion and misinterpretation)

**You can also hashtag a word in the middle of a sentence:
eg. This is a #CoolParty!
